Daring Deering progress

A new project under construction! This will eventually make its way onto the Projects page, but for now you can witness the evolution.

This project began as a remodel, but once demolition had begun the team quickly discovered that the foundation was in poor condition and would not support a full second story addition. The clients, myself and the Spindrift Carpentry team quickly pivoted to new construction, adapting the current design to the new reality.

The new design has all of the same DNA as the remodel version but with a slab on grade (good riddance crawl space)! We were also able to move it further behind the front setback to give the front porch more space.
